Portfolio Value Explained

Benchmark Price: This is the price you choose to value your Portfolio against.

Traders have the option to set the Benchmark Price as the mid-price or at the default setting of the market buy price (the Buy Now price)

The mid-price is the middle price between the market buy price (the Buy Now price) and the market sell price (the Instant Sell price). In isolated cases where there is no market sell price (no Bids), the bottom price of the Bid Zone will be used as a replacement for the market sell price.

Please note the methodology you choose to set the Benchmark Price (whether it is the mid-price or the market buy price) will determine how current value is calculated in your All-Time Trading P&L calculation as well as the Current, 7 Day and 24 Hour calculations.

The toggle for the Benchmark Price will be located within your account settings.

Current: This calculation shows the current value of your existing Portfolio against its initial cost to you.

The formula is:

(Current Benchmark Price of footballer minus average price you paid for each Share in that footballer) multiplied by the number of Shares in your Portfolio of that footballer. This is repeated for every footballer in your existing Portfolio and added together.

24 Hour: This calculation shows the current value of what you had in your Portfolio 24 hours ago against its initial cost to you.

For the avoidance of any doubt, this calculation is based only on your Portfolio position 24 hours ago (exactly 24 hours ago) and does not take into account any Shares in footballers you may have bought or sold in the last 24 hours. It is updated in real-time.

The formula is:

(Current Benchmark Price of footballer minus average price you paid for each Share in that footballer) multiplied by the number of Shares you had in your Portfolio 24 hours ago of that footballer. This is repeated for every footballer that you had in your Portfolio 24 hours ago and added together.

7 Day: This calculation shows the current value of what you had in your Portfolio seven days ago against its initial cost to you.

For the avoidance of any doubt, this calculation is based only on your Portfolio position seven days ago (exactly 168 hours ago) and does not take into account any Shares in footballers you may have bought or sold in the last seven days. It is updated in real-time.

The formula is:

(Current Benchmark Price of footballer minus average price you paid for each Share in that footballer) multiplied by the number of Shares you had in your Portfolio seven days ago of that footballer. This is repeated for every footballer that you had in your Portfolio seven days ago and added together.

All-Time Trading P&L: This calculation shows your all-time P&L since you started Trading on Football Index.

The formula is:

(Current Portfolio Value at Benchmark price plus Total Unmatched (Open) Bids plus Total Commission on Unmatched (Open) Bids plus Cash Balances plus Total Withdrawals) minus Total Deposits.

The percentage calculation shows the All-Time Trading P&L figure as a percentage of Total Deposits.

FOOTIE100: The FOOTIE100 is an aggregation of the mid-price of the top 100 footballers on the platform. The FOOTIE100 is an Index that acts as a barometer of the Market’s performance.
